After returning to New York radio in January, Troi "Star" Torain and Timothy "Buc Wild" Joseph are making yet another departure from radio. The duo left 87.7 WNYZ Pulse 87, the most listened to dance music station in the country, on an optimistic note earlier this week. "I'm proud of my role in the launch of Pulse 87 and I leave with a new found respect for the dance music culture," Star said in a statement. The departure of Star and Buc Wild was a joint decision, with the programming director of Pulse 87 wanting to maintain its "stationality" for its listeners. "We are grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Troi Torain [Star] and his team," Alex Shvarts, Mega Media Group CEO said in a statement. "He was a big part of the launch of Pulse 87. Star is a world class talent and we wish him the best in his future endeavors."
With all the election fervor, Sheryl Underwood mess...Mo'Kelly almost 'missed' the other great news that Star and Bucwild have left their morning slot on 87.7 in New York. Allegedly it was a "mutual" decision.
Oh, ok.
It's not like Star and Bucwild have all these "options" in terms of terrestrial radio. But whatever. For now they're off the air and Mo'Kelly is more than pleased. No need to quibble over the details.

I'm tired of the anonymous postings. You don't get to come in here, pump up (read: advertise) for Star and then dip out...
(delete).
Have a nice day.
I love my delete key...

Who's next?
You set 'em up...I'll knock 'em down.
What's your issue with the Star & Bucwild show? Obviously you didn't listen to the show, so it wasn't harming you, really? What's your angle?
Also, why do you write in the third person?
Vichussmith...
A legitimate question, deserving of a legitimate answer.
Quickly...the on-air transgressions of Star in various capacities at stations over the years (which I address in the related piece at bottom of article, in my estimation earned the professional death sentence in terms of terrestrial radio. Satellite? Knock yourself out.
But in terms of terrestrial radio, he should be done and done for good.
For me...when you ("jokingly" or not) talk of sodomizing a child and offering bounties leading to its successful completion you've simply gone too far...period.
It's not comical, but it is criminal.
The first amendment doesn't apply to the FCC violations and doesn't guarantee you the "right" to have a radio show.
That's my "issue" with Star. I could go on and on...but that's the short version.
And as for the "third person."
It's just what I do...yes I know it's annoying (to some).
Thanks for reading and responding.
