Jane Harman Will NOT be Getting Mo'Kelly's Vote EVER Again!

UPDATE 12.17.08 3:30pm PST: A suggestion from one of my facebook friends...

"Do what I did... call all your friends in states with a bunch of white republicans and ask them to request tickets. I got a set of tickets from Salt Lake City, UT Lawrence, Kansas and good ol' Bradshaw, West Virginny. (6 total)"
(And no, she's not Black...that's pretty damn brilliant.)

Inaugural Tickets

My thanks for contacting me about Barack Obama’s historic inauguration. Unfortunately, due to the limited number available, your request for tickets cannot be accommodated. Please understand that my office has received thousands of ticket requests and simply could not cover them all.

(Mo'Kelly - "What does that have to do with Mo'Kelly?")

While we are disappointed we could not do more, we have tried our best to help as many constituents as possible. Each House office received just 198 tickets. The majority of my allocation was distributed on a first-come first-served basis, with no individual constituent request receiving more than two tickets. A small number of tickets was set aside for local elected officials, my staff and some members of my family.

(Mo'Kelly - "I bet you did.")

Fortunately, for those still interested in witnessing the swearing-in ceremony, the full length of the National Mall, traditionally closed during Presidential Inaugurations, will be open to the general public and lined with large screens. No tickets are needed to watch the swearing-in ceremony between 4th Street and the Lincoln Memorial. Should you decide to come to Washington for the inauguration, please contact my office and we will try to include you in events we are planning.

(Mo'Kelly - "Uh Jane...I just DID contact your office...and since I can't get tix to the inauguration...what exactly would I contact your office for? I don't need to contact you to walk the National Mall with the 1.2 million other people.")

Regards,

                  H

What are you complaining about? I don't have the funds or the political pull to do anything with my life!

Cheer up Mo'Kelly. The inauguration ain't gon be all that, unless you have access to the VIP events. All those people willing to sit three hours in traffic just to cross the street are foolish.

This ain't the biggest event ever. When the black male imprisonment rate drops 40%, that's when I'll put my party hat on. When I can finally find a job in this tough market, that's when I'll jump for joy.

And trust me, I got connections. But there's work to be done on January 21, so let's not get too geeked about this event.

don't feel bad, I received the same email from my congressman in oregon. Still waiting to hear from my senator. Friends of mine received tickets and I submitted my request first. Was a littled ticked!!
